2015: A Diversity of Sources

For the 2015 calendar, Peterson chose images from diverse sources: January is directly from his painting while the origins of the abstractions in July, August, and November are more obscure.

May and September are irises from a horticulture park, while February is a kalanchoe that Peterson gave to his wife; Lisa Lee Peterson, for her birthday.

March morphs the kalanchoe into something more ancient and cosmic in its history.

December’s source is Vermeer’s painting The Concert that was stolen in 1990 from the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum in Boston, where Peterson viewed it many times.
