2018: Rebirth of the Organic

There was no calendar for 2017, due to distress in November 2016.

In the January image, the iconic lion at the Art Institute of Chicago overlooks the January 21, 2017, Women’s March, while August depicts one of the innumerable signs from the March referring to the climate crisis and other issues.

The other months explore organic forms and colors that are rooted in nature, human experience, art history, movement of the hand, computer graphics, and invisible spiritual dimensions.

In previous years, many of the basic shapes emerged from computer transformations. By contrast, this year hand-drawn images themselves are the primary sources that precede or bypass computer processes.
